Lençóis Maranhenses
6 Days — the dunes,
the lagoons, nothing else.

Arrival according to the flight schedule.

Transfer by air-conditioned vehicle.

The tour begins with a transfer from the pousada to the pier, where we cross the Preguiças River by ferry. From there we follow trails — sandbanks or plains — where the vehicle shakes considerably and bumps are unavoidable. Upon reaching the Great Lençóis Maranhenses the open-sided 4x4 truck stops and our adventure begins with the challenge of climbing a very steep dune of about 80 m in length or ascending a staircase of approximately 144 steps. After this initial obstacle the physical effort required decreases significantly. Once on the top, we are rewarded with a panoramic view of Lençóis Maranhenses, simply breathtaking; you will be able to walk between the lagoons and refresh yourself in their crystalline waters, and to conclude, the first dune offers an incredible view of the sunset — a true spectacle of nature. Afterwards we return to Barreirinhas.

Departure from Barreirinhas in an open-sided 4x4 truck, off-road crossing through the dunes of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, with 20-minute stops, then continuing to Canto do Atins where we will reserve lunch (not included)

Speedboat tour along the Preguiças River with visits to the Small Lençóis (Vassouras, Mandacaru, Caburé), accompanied by a pilot/guide.

Departure from Barreirinhas to Santo Amaro at approximately 08:00. After arrival in Santo Amaro we will undertake a short rally in an open-sided 4x4 truck over the dunes, lasting approximately 10 to 15 minutes to reach the first lagoons we will visit: Andorinha Lagoon and Gaivota Lagoon (the lagoons visited may change according to the season or if they are not suitable for bathing). We then continue to the Betânia circuit with another approximately 20-minute dune rally. We will visit Toco Lagoon, Ilhas Lagoon and Piscina Lagoon (the lagoons visited may change according to the season or if they are not suitable for bathing). Around 13:00 (approx.) we will stop for lunch (not included) and a rest, then continue visiting the remaining lagoons (this circuit lasts the entire day and may include a sunset visit, depending on weather and the group). After the tour, return to Barreirinhas with expected arrival at around 19:30 (approx.).
